A slice of Danish

Hi all!
Sorry for my delayed entrance in the blog sphere. I have been working on a project on the 2.200+ colonias on the American side of the border to Mexico where 500.000 people live in poverty. 85% are American citizens but the conditions are by the US governments own reports compared to Third World Countries. Pretty intense - but now I am back in the civilized world chilling in N'Orleans and looking so much forward to meet you all soon!!!

I'm 33 (tomorrow) and I'm from Denmark, Europe. I have been living in San Francisco through out 2008. Crazy place, you must agree - I love it! Never Been to N.Y. so that's gonna be cool as well - but most I am looking forward to paint the barn greeeeen!!! Have anyone heard the Pink Floyd song "Green is the color" from the "More"-movie? Ahhh - good stuff.

Alright, going random here - just wanted to say hi to you all. Better work a bit on getting the portfolio together :)

/Jakob

PS: I don't have a car, sorry!

PPS: In the very buttom of the big black whole that is my bank account lies a small note saying: STOP buying gear!! But then again...hmmm...does anyone know what kinda rebate B&H are offering the day we meet up there? Or if Nikon is making specials at the Barn?

PPSS: Can anyone recommend a place in N.Y. to get prints/books for the portfolio sessions?

Thanks!

If yer really poor like me, I would check out blurb books. They started a 'professional services' deal and it is a more consistent quality book. I got my book from them for my last NY trip and it cost me like $50 and had solid quality. This compared with the literal thousands friends were spending on their pretty leather bound fancy pants books... ill spend that dough on about 1000 tacos while I shoot for a few months in Mexico thank you very much...
